Ballots will be mailed Oct. 15 to active registered voters in Arapahoe County for the Nov. 6, 2018 General Election. Please allow one full week for your ballot to arrive by mail. Track your ballot at www.ArapahoeVotes.com.
“Our partners at the U.S. Postal Service will work hard to deliver more than 3 million ballots to Colorado voters next week,” said Clerk and Recorder Matt Crane. “This is a huge influx of mail pieces, and we ask our voters to be patient and wait for their ballot to arrive by Oct. 22. We truly appreciate our postal carriers’ support of our secure and accessible elections.”
Watch Your Mailbox
Ballots are sent to the mailing address on a voter’s registration record, and are not forwarded by the Postal Service. If your ballot has not arrived by Oct. 22, it may have been returned to the County as undeliverable. Please go online to www.GoVoteColorado.com by Oct. 29 to update your address, and a replacement ballot will automatically be mailed to you. Or you may visit a Voter Service and Polling Center in Arapahoe County for a replacement ballot beginning Oct. 22.
Start Your Research
Citizens can expect a longer ballot than usual – up to two pages, front and back. It includes local, state and congressional races and questions. Remember to review and return both pages of your mail ballot.
“This is a significant ballot, both in length and importance. Voters can prevent ‘ballot fatigue’ by opening your mail ballot early and allowing plenty of time to research the candidates and issues,” said Crane. “If you plan to vote in-person at a Voter Service and Polling Center, please review the sample ballot in advance and be prepared with your choices. This will ensure a faster experience in the voting booth.”
Begin your research at our ‘On the Ballot’ web page, where you’ll find links to a sample ballot, candidates’ websites, and analysis of ballot questions in the TABOR Notice and Colorado Blue Book.
Return Your Mail Ballot
Return your voted mail ballot to any ballot box in Arapahoe County by 7 p.m. on Election Day, Nov. 6. You can also mail it back with 71 cents postage, or two Forever Stamps, by October 30 to ensure it arrives by Election Day. Remember to return both pages of ballot, and to sign your ballot envelope. Arapahoe County verifies the signature on every ballot envelope to ensure it was cast by the eligible voter.
